Glass and The Book

A long while back, I wrote two short stories (both at different times). I guess I find inspiration in hardships, tears and upsets but I do write happy things as well, I promise. It is just time to let these two out onto my lovely blog, and post something happy and upbeat again. I think expressing yourself is extremely important and I'm glad I've always had writing to do so. Symbols and metaphors are literally some of the most wonderful coping methods, even if only I understand them. These are dedicated to the people I asked to read the first drafts and never did, thanks for everything. ------------------------ Glass             Raining outside, she walked into the cafĂ© he had taken her to all those years ago to meet his family.   Glancing around at the beautiful mahogany tables, warm ambience and the colourful customers she placed her order, found that little booth by the fireplace and then sat sipping her coffee sile...

HBD CORN

Well, yet another birthday is rolling around and that always gives me such a great opportunity to tell you how much you mean to me. As friends, we have been through it all together, and really, there is no one else I'd rather have by my side. Through it all,  I'm extremely grateful to know that I have someone in my life that will be there for me through thick and thin. That being said, my beautiful friend, I would like to wish you one of the most amazing birthdays, much like I hope many more to come will be. So many more exciting things are coming our way and they are going to be beautiful to witness together, with Ale and everyone.  You're already flourishing into such an admirable woman and every day you make me so proud. I love you with all my heart.

Pandora

I'm starting to feel like falling for someone, trusting someone or simply getting to know someone is like openning pandora's box. I kinda wish I didn't care about every little thing but what would I write about if I didn't have feelings?

11:15

Sometimes I remember small things and how they made me happy, how they made my eyes light up and my heart jump straight out of my chest into the sky. If I'm forced to only remember one thing about this past year it'll probably have to be a moment like that, the way lighting up like that could be possible. But I do suppose that light bulb has dimmed, it is time to change it. Maybe a more natural light is in store, I hope. I want to feel like the air is breathable again, that your eyes are the only stars I ever see and your smile is the brightest light. Listen to me ramble and kick a ball around with me in the afternoon sun. If it's not you, that'll be a damn shame... "We could've had such a damned good time together"

Withered

This my lovely readers is the poem I wrote/preformed for today's Poetry Night at school. Thankfully, it's one of the first poems I wrote that didn't awkwardly rhyme... so I'm incredibly proud of it. Poetry is such a beautiful way of expressing yourself when you can't find another way to do it. So without further ado, here is Withered: _______________________________ The sweet escape I’ve so longed for is yet to come Thorns of the rose do not dull in my time of need They pierce my very veins until I am numb again They flood my very mind with images of a sorrowful nothing How could a creation so beautiful lead such a destructive path? Destruction consuming, controlling and engulfing These beautiful petals have tortured my soul And alone I stand with a withered rose

Happy Birthday, Alessia!

“Love and friendship. They are what make us who we are, and what can change us, if we let them.”  ~Emily Giffin, An Author We Both Like Oh Alessia, out of all the people I know, of all the people that have let me down, I am so overjoyed to say you have never done me wrong in any instance. I do not know where I would be without you. A lot of people aren't fortunate enough to say some of the things I can about you. You make me laugh when I'm having a horrible day, you are here for me whenever I need you, always smiling and I'm so glad to know that no matter what I do and what is thrown at us we will never falter. There is no other person I'd be glad to call my best friend. Thank you so much for everything you do for me. You are honestly one of the biggest inspirations in my life. Watching you become more passionate every day about the things you love puts no doubts in my mind as to where you're going to end up in an amazing place. Know that no matter what I will al...

Serenity

Eyes closed, candles lit, soft melodies and clutching sanity.  A smile that emerges from the depths and  your head isn't pounding, sweetheart. I promise you, everything is okay and you are breathing. The sky is warm again and you've never been more beautiful. The thoughts that are creeping into your mind aren't disturbing; you don't wish you could pound them out into the abyss. You've found a beautiful place, darling. Try to stay sane in this lovely serenity for a while.
